If environmental issues are of concern to you please look at our projects and feel free to contact us should you wish to volunteer your services or make a donation.
World Heritage context
The Cradle of Humankind has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Area.
The Cradle of Humankind
Residents and tourist organizations within the boundaries of the Cradle of Humankind geographical area who support responsible land usage and the principles of UNESCO, have championed a community based association principally tasked with taking measures on an organised basis to protect the integrity of this environmentally sensitive area.
The Cradle of Humankind owes its existence to a Dolomite reef which extends from Carletonville in the South to Centurion in the North. This sensitive Dolomite reef has created thousands of caves which contain the world’s oldest fossils.
